Mission Statement
The mission of the New Orleans Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators is to support and advance the National ALA’s mission among and for its membership.
National ALA Mission Statement
The Association of Legal Administrators’ mission is to: improve the quality of management in legal services organizations; promote and enhance the competence and professionalism of legal administrators and all members of the management team; and represent professional legal management and managers to the legal community and to the community at large.
New Orleans Chapter Goals
- Provide educational opportunities such as workshops, seminars, programs, and other educational sessions for professional growth.
- Foster, expand and improve communications among chapter membership.
- Increase community awareness of the Association of Legal Administrators.
- Promote professional legal management by participating with other professional legal organizations such as the state and local bar associations and legal societies.
- Actively recruit new members each year. Orient and mentor each new member during their initial membership year.
- Foster increased participation in Chapter activities by entire membership. Work to increase attendance at monthly meetings
- Participate in the Community Challenge Weekend by partnering with non-profit organizations.
- Perform annual compensation survey.
- Conduct annual retreat geared towards building relationships and professional growth.
- Provide legal vendors opportunities to partner with the Association and its members through sponsorships and other vendor events.
